Proverbs 22:9-11

International Standard Version

⁹ Whoever is generous^[a] will be blessed,
    for he shares his food with the poor.

¹⁰ Throw out the mocker and strife departs, too;^[b]
    furthermore, quarrels^[c] and discord will end.

¹¹ Whoever loves purity^[d] and gracious speech
    will gain the king as his friend.
